If Your Migrating
If you are migrating from an existing data feed such as XML or Text Delimited, than you can update the URL in Google Merchant Center > Products > Feeds > click on your feed > Settings > Fetch & Schedule.
If you are using Content API, Web Crawler or FTP you will first need to delete the existing feed before you add FeedArmy. To add FeedArmy data feed, follow the steps below.
Step 1 – Pre-check
It is recommended to have a look at all the pre requirements for Google Merchant Center. Forgetting to add something to your website may cause you to receive a suspension. Avoiding this will ensure you keep your account’s trust factor. As Google will keep a record of past suspensions, repeating an offense may lead to a permanent suspension.
Step 2 – Adding Shipping & Tax Settings In Google Merchant Center
Log in to https://www.google.com/merchants/ and set up your Shipping and Tax settings.
Navigate to the top right corner and click on the wrench and choose shipping and returns. Add all the shipping details. Repeat the setup for the tax settings (US, Canada Only) located in the wrench icon.
Step 3 – Go to your Data Feed Settings
Log in to FeedArmy and click on Data Feeds from the menu.
Now click on Copy Feed Link, by clicking on this button it will automatically copy the link to your clipboard.
Step 4 – Sign in to Google Merchant
Navigate to https://www.google.com/merchants/
Step 5 – Create a new Data Feed Link
Click on Products > Feeds
Click on the big blue plus button under Primary Feeds
Choose your country of sale (where you want to sell to), choose your language and select your channels. When ready click on continue
Provide a primary feed name (FeedArmy), then select Scheduled fetch from the import method and continue
- Enter a filename (for example feedarmy) the value can be anything you like
- Select daily fetch
- Select Fetch time (1 hour after FeedArmy collects your data)
- Select Time zone (match the time zone that you have chosen in FeedArmy)
- Paste the data feed URL
- Click on continue
Processing The Feed For The First Time
When completed, select your feed. On the right-hand side click on fetch now.
Check for errors, if there are no errors, it can take up to 3 working days for Google to review and process your products. (This is only done for new products)
If you are already have products approved, the update will take around half an hour.
